Curacao - Geologic Map
The endless blue folds over me,
Like a lover’s silent plea,
And the emerald green, a river’s flow,
Covering me in its crystal glow.
Here I was born,
In childhood’s joy, no pain or scorn,
With the sun’s warm embrace,
And the sea’s nightly grace.
My island, you are my roots,
Your soil shaped my pursuits,
In love for you, my eternal ode,
Since Alonso de Ojeda first beheld your abode.
Curacao,
I come to study the stones you hold,
Seeking the secrets of your heart, so bold,
As the first petroleum geologist of your land,
I honor the heritage beneath your sand.
Your beaches whisper tales untold,
Of shipwrecks and corals, stories unfold,
And the sea, forever in motion,
Holds the secrets of your ocean.
Curacao,
A mosaic of colors so bright,
Houses painted in hues of light,
Your skies a rainbow’s delight,
And your vast shores, a never-ending sight.
You are the island where days sing,
And nights whisper everything,
Where stars reflect in the sea,
Like tears of joy set free.
Oh, mi dushi Curacao,
My paradise of land and sea,
You flow within my blood, wild and free,
In every beat of my heart’s tune,
A poem eternal, beneath the moon.
