With a focus on sustainable energy development, the project aims to harmonize technical efficiency with environmental stewardship while providing economic growth opportunities for Suriname. A feasibility study is forthcoming.

Suriname and Guyana oils primarily derive from the Aptian-Cenomanian-Turonian Canje Formation, rich in Type II kerogen under anoxic conditions. These oils showcase distinctive geochemical signatures, suggesting significant algal input, high quality, and economic potential. A secondary Jurassic system offers additional exploration opportunities, enhancing the region’s attractiveness for energy investments.
